Riaan George’s Weekend Getaway at #WaterfrontGoa

We were more than thrilled to host and catch up with ‘India’s Favourite Luxury Blogger for Men’ Riaan George. Based between Mumbai, India and Colombo, Sri Lanka, Riaan has worked for several leading luxury publications which include L’Officiel India, Eat Stay Love, and Blackbook India. A luxury journalist and blogger by profession, he has an eye for all things looking fancy and chic.

Riaan’s love for visiting dandy destinations, and reviewing premium goods and services brought him down to Acron Waterfront Resort, a fine boutique resort by The Acron Group of Hotels tucked away discreetly at the far end of Baga beach, in a tiny lane along the Baga river.

This beautiful resort is situated along the banks of the Baga river, away from all the tourists. The biggest highlight about this place is its gorgeous infinity pool and what I really like about this place is, how private and calm it is.

During his stay at Acron Waterfront Resort, Riaan made it a point to try out the in-house restaurant – The River Restaurant, which takes its culinary agenda very seriously. The resort has curated an intriguing menu which is a generous mix of both Goan delicacies and Parsi dishes.

I had an opportunity to be a part of a cooking session with Chef Nitesh and we cooked up my favourite – Goan Chorizo chilly fry which turned out absolutely delicious. I’d never done this before but it was super fun cooking myself a meal.

Located in a leafy lane, amidst a quiet neighbourhood and away from all the action, Acron Waterfront Resort comprises of 29 plush yet comfortable rooms and 6 apartment suites equipped with contemporary amenities, all in a uniquely rustic setting. The best part about this resort is its tranquil infinity pool situated such that its infinity end overlooks the Baga river and boats a nice, unobstructed ocean view from the side. While you can enjoy lazing around the loungers inside the pool, make it a point to ask the barman at the sunken pool bar to serve up the day’s special cocktail.

I had such a nice break. It was absolutely worth extending my stay in Goa and visiting this alluring riverfront property in Baga. I really had such a good time here. I’m definitely going to come back again, soon.
